ABOUT THE ARTIST
Based in England and operating globally for both agencies and client brands, Tim Wallace has received many awards over his career; most recently Commercial Photographer of the Year 2021 at the British Photography Awards in London for his work with his client McLaren. Previous awards have included Professional and Commercial Photographer of the Year Awards as well as Car Photographer of the Year at the UK Motor Industry Awards, Sapphire Pegasus Business Aviation Award, and Best Creative Business Awards in the UK. Spanning the commercial and advertising sectors working through his transport-based clients and agencies, he has been at the forefront of his field for over a decade. ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
Captured by Tim Wallace on location in the Scottish Highlands, this is a Pantera GT5, a classic mid-engined supercar produced by Italian automobile manufacturer De Tomaso from 1971 to 1992. Italian for "Panther", the Pantera was the manufacturer's most popular model, with over 7,000 manufactured over its twenty-year production run. Powered by a 5.8-litre Ford Cleveland V8, the GT5 weighed in at 1,475 kg, produced 345 bhp, 333 lb-ft and had a top speed of 174 mph. From May 1980, the lineup included the GT5, which had bonded and riveted-on fibreglass wheelarch extensions and from November 1984 the GT5-S model which had blended arches and a distinctive wide-body look.

The Pantera was developed for Group 3 racing and thanks to a 11:1 compression ratio (versus 8:1 in the US market Pantera), larger Holley carburettors, a forged aluminium intake manifold and freer-flowing exhaust headers. The GTS also has considerably wider wheels, a more aggressive steering rack setup, ventilated disc brakes, adjusted spring rates and gear ratios, and conspicuous matte black detailing. This artwork is available on a limited run of 100 prints, ever, each of which can be tailored to your exact specifications, in a wide variety of print sizes and formats.
