Paul Ward - Founding Photographer and Curator
Paul Ward has been a professional photographer for over twenty years now and recently won his category at the British Photography Awards 2020. Over the years his work has been published in many books and magazines both in the UK and internationally and his architectural images currently adorn the walls aboard Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2. Paul’s passion for cars started when he bought his first Austin Mini almost 30 years ago and ever since then he has been obsessed with both classic cars and modern supercars, so, as an image-maker, it’s not surprising that automobile photography has become a passion of his too.

Abby Bowers - Contributing Photographer
"Photography has always been a passion, whether it’s picking my way through old family albums of saturated, grainy captures or taking terrible flash shots on a disposable camera. I’m fascinated by moments frozen in time in beautiful photographic memory. Even those gritty, dark, less aesthetically pleasing instances. The inspiration for my images doesn’t stem from other car imagery, or even the car itself. I’m inspired by TV programs like Life on Mars, vintage film photographs that were captured not as art, but as a means to tell a story and the works of artists such as Tish Martha, Berndt & Hilla Becker and Martin Parr to name a few. In my images I aim to capture the atmosphere of the moment so that when the photograph is viewed by again that person feels every ounce of emotion that I did taking the shot."

Johan Wedenström - Contributing Photographer
Johan's interest in cars originates from his father, who had beautiful family cars like a Jaguar E-Type, Jaguar Mark X, Volvo 164 and others. Initially Johan started out as a graphic artist, but he soon realised that photography was his great passion. He has worked in the car industry for 20 years and his first customer was SAAB Cars in Sweden, where he was working for the PR-department. Pretty soon he was transferred to the studio for their sales catalogues, where he was offered to work with their high-end brand models. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Johan spends a lot of time travelling and photographing for both Swedish and international customers all over the world like Volvo Cars, Volvo LV/Trucks, Polestar, Volvo Ocean Race/Puma, Volvo Penta, Husqvarna Global, Husqvarna Construction, Sony Ericsson, IKEA and others. He received the Golden IAA, International Automotive Award in 2008.

Thomas Boudewijn - Contributing Photographer
“Car Fine Art”, is how Dutch Photographer Thomas Boudewijn describes his work. “I love cars and especially their design. Cars are works of art. Subtle lines, smooth curves, angular shapes, beautiful details and materials defining a car and brand.” “The unique FDL Lighting technique (focused diffused lighting) gives me artistic freedom to create truly unique images and shoot ‘Art on Wheels’.” It’s a tribute to car designers. Using this unique lighting technique, Thomas manages to eliminate distracting reflections on a car and replace them with a silky smooth finish to really highlight the design.
