ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
Slotting a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 producing 690 bhp and 555 lb-ft into the compact Vantage platform demanded substantial reworking of the structure, with additional bracing and revised shear panels to cope with the extra mass and torque. The cooling system is heavily uprated, with enlarged intakes and re-profiled airflow paths, while the suspension is stiffened and retuned to manage the V12’s weight over the front axle without blunting response.
Power is fed through an eight-speed ZF automatic with bespoke calibration, chosen for its torque capacity and durability rather than outright shift drama. Add the carbon-ceramic brakes, the largest ever fitted to a Vantage, and a carefully managed aero package that increases downforce without excessive drag, and the result is a car that feels engineered first and romantic second, its brutality underpinned by a surprising amount of discipline.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Rudolf van der Ven is a Belgium-based commercial and automotive photographer with a knack for capturing iconic cars in a way that feels both meticulously considered and effortlessly expressive. His work blends technical precision with an instinctive understanding of form and light, giving his images a clarity that appeals as much to engineers as to aesthetes. Whether he’s shooting hypercars in controlled studio environments or chasing reflections on wet tarmac at sunrise, there’s a consistent sense of craft in everything he produces.
