ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
The Bentayga arrived in September 2015, marking the moment Crewe decided that a proper dose of British opulence belonged just as much on an SUV as it did in a grand tourer. In its original form, the Bentayga packed a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 producing 600 bhp and 900 NM, enough to propel this leather-lined leviathan from 0-62 mph in just 4.1 seconds and on to a frankly absurd 187 mph.
Its numbers only tell half the story: what makes this Bentley special is the way it marries enormous performance with exquisite craftsmanship, from hand-stitched leather and beautifully matched wood veneers to sophisticated active anti-roll technology that helps keep its considerable mass remarkably composed through corners. Add permanent four-wheel drive, selectable off-road modes and the ability to cross continents in extraordinary comfort, and you have a machine that challenges the traditional boundaries of the luxury SUV; a car capable of delivering genuine driving engagement without asking its occupants to sacrifice an ounce of comfort.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
“Car Fine Art”, is how Dutch Photographer Thomas Boudewijn describes his work. “I love cars and especially their design. Cars are works of art. Subtle lines, smooth curves, angular shapes, beautiful details and materials defining a car and brand.”
“The unique FDL Lighting technique (focused diffused lighting) gives me artistic freedom to create truly unique images and shoot ‘Art on Wheels’.” It’s a tribute to car designers. Using this unique lighting technique, Thomas manages to eliminate distracting reflections on a car and replace them with a silky smooth finish to really highlight the design.
In addition to car photography, Thomas also is working as a graphic designer and food & lifestyle photographer in the coffee industry. Cars are a fixed element in his life. Shooting for a variety of clients, organising Cars & Coffee events and providing FDL Workshops. “I love to pass on my photography knowledge and experience to other photographers, helping them expand their skills and provide new inspiration.
